Fred Kelly Field Renovation Project
In April 2005, the Community Foundation of Orange joined forces with the Orange Unified School District and the City of Orange to make Fred Kelly Stadium worthy of its namesake, the great Olympian Fred Kelly. Today this dream is a reality thanks to the efforts of so many for raising over $500,000, which will go directly to the OUSD to complete the improvement project.
The Fred Kelly Monument, designed and constructed by local high schools alums and businesses, is a lasting legacy to our first Olympic Champion. Enshrined in the Monument is a replica of Kelly's Gold Medal, donated by AA Jewel Box, which is surrounded by engraved granite plaques bearing the names of Bronze, Silver & Gold level donors to this remarkable project. .
