Foundation Events

The CFO primarily focuses on new and enhanced programs, increased participation, and new and improved facilities. Over the past seven years, your Community Foundation has been involved with community and public-private partnerships, allowing us to leverage our resources.

The CFO hosts and continues to develop events throughout the year that support the Foundation’s mission of enhancing the quality of life in the Greater Orange Community. Your generous financial support at these special events builds the necessary resources that provide solutions in meeting a wide range of community needs.

Current Foundation Events

Seventh Annual Foundation Gala
Save The Date! On Friday, February 24, 2012, the Community Foundation of Orange will be hosting it's Seventh Annual Foundation Gala, honoring our local Community Champion Gaddi Vasquez. Gaddi was the 8th United States Ambassador to the United Nations Agencies for Food and Agriculture, in Rome, Italy. He was nominated by President George W. Bush and unanimously confirmed by the United States Senate on June 29, 2006. Vasquez was sworn into office on September 7, 2006, by U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, and served in the position until 2009. Prior to that, he was the first person of Hispanic ancestry to head the Peace Corps. Currently, Ambassador Vasquez is the Vice President of Public Affairs at Southern California Edison. He is being honored for his long history of service and involvement in the Greater Orange Community. The event will be held at The Villa Banquet Room in Orange from 6-10 pm. 2012 Foundation Games
The 2012 Foundation Game swere held on Friday, April 13th and Saturday, April 14th at Fred Kelly Stadium in Orange.Open to all elementary and middle school students (born in years 1997-2005) attending school within the boundaries of the Orange Unified School District (public, private, parochial or home-school). Bringing together student athletes, their families, friends, local police & fire, this event showcases community spirit combined with friendly competition, promoting a healthy lifestyle. 2011 Foundation Games
The 2011 Foundation Games is a two-day, Track & Field event for all students living or attending school within the boundaries of the Orange Unified School District (public, private, parochial or home-school). Bringing together student athletes, their families, friends, local police & fire, this event showcases community spirit with friendly competition, promoting a healthy lifestyle.
